I'm an American who has lived throughout Latin America and Brazil. I now live in New York with my Brazilian husband.

I'm Rachel, a 28-year-old American from New York. I lived in Rio de Janeiro for two years after graduating from college, and detailed my adventures and misadventures while living there. I moved back to New York in 2009 with married my Brazilian husband. I've continued writing about Brazil with a critical eye and a focus on current events, politics, economy, and culture.
