Today, I have two very funny videos for you to demonstrate the dangers of translation.
First is a video I found doing some research for a presentation, which makes me burst out laughing every time I watch it:
Next, here's a scene from "Meu nome nao e Johnny." The funny part starts at around 7:11. It's never a good idea to get creative when interpreting, especially not with curse words in English, since many Brazilians who don't speak a word of English are familiar with English expletives, thanks to bad American movies.

That is hysterical! I used to be a nanny, thankfully they never used any of those phrases on me! ;) I liked the porta potty part...omg!

A lot of American moms treat their nannies like garbage... would love to see this happen in real life --- "I am a puta..."
